This is the week everyone is gearing up for that big roasted turkey and all the many trimmings and side dishes. Most of us already incorporate a vegetable or two and some fruit in the jello.

Although the turkey will always be the center of attention try to add more fruits and vegetables to your dinner table.

One idea is to add dried or fresh cranberries to the stuffing in addition to onions, celery, and some garlic.

You can also make a simple fruit salad for desert and serve it with a dollop of whipped topping. One of my favorites is to take frozen strawberries and add some sweetener and blend well, making a wonderful fresh sorbet.

However you do it remember that produce is so important and can be so delicious any way that you prepare it.
