FROZEN, FRESH, OR CANNED?


Obviously the best choice is fresh vegetables. The healthiest way to eat them is washed, and raw if possible. Otherwise steaming is the way to go. The next best is frozen, they are cooked, cleaned and require thawing or just a mild reheat.

I save canned vegetables for last, because they like most canned products , usually contain a lot of sodium. If you need to watch your salt intake, you should try to stay away from canned foods. Also canned vegetables tend to be overcooked and soggy in some cases.
