3 turnips
2 tbls. flour
2 tbls. margerine
12 oz. milk
salt and pepper to taste
Peel and slice turnips. Boil for fifteen minutes in salted water, till tender.
Drain and put into non stick casserole dish. In seperate pan, melt
margerine , blend in flour and cook for a minute or so. Keep
stirring. Slowly pour in milk and cook till thick. Add salt and pepper
to taste. Pour over turnips and bake at 225 for ten minutes.
You can sprinkle with cheese or bacon before putting into oven, if
desired. Serves six.
